Project Title: Influence of the chromatographic analysis of flame retardants on the estimation of human exposure to organohalogenated compounds

Project objectives

RO1: To evidence the most probable degradation products (due to thermal stress or different solvents influence) and investigate the thermal degradation mechanisms of selected brominated flame retardants (regulated FRs and their replacements, newly introduced on the market).

RO2: To identify and quantify selected flame retardants in indoor dust samples collected from Eastern-Romania.

RO3: To calculate the differences in flame retardants concentrations after modifying parameters of the analytical protocol applied for the preparation of the extracts obtained from indoor dust samples.

RO4: To evidence and quantify the differences in the human exposure to flame retardants through indoor dust ingestion after the following of each instrumental analysis protocol.
