Objectives
As we already argue in the chapter motivation, the field of azasteroids mimics is a top and widely discussed one in modern science. The proposal has several elements of originality, having in view obtaining of new compounds/materials, elaboration of new experimental setup methods (using microwave and ultrasound technology) and/or adaptation of the existing one, new contribution to the already existing approaches / theories , etc., bringing thus significant contribution to the fundamental research. Also, the results of research could have potential applications: in the field of optoelectronic and in the field of pharmaceutical industry. In this respect, we have in view the following major objectives:
O1. To design and synthetise new penta- and hexacyclic azasteroids mimics;
O2. To design and synthetise new azasteroids for application in optoelectronics and medicine;
O3. To design and synthetise new azasteroids by cross-coupling reactions and multicomponent one-pot synthesis;
O4. To elaborate new, facile and cost effective experimental setup procedures for nitrogen derivatives, and/or to adapt the existing one, particularly environmentally friendly methods, using microwave and ultrasound technology;
O5. To evaluate the biological properties for synthesized heterocyclic compounds that have biological activity in the screening program.
O6. To investigate the fluorescent properties of newly cycloadducts with pyrrolo-azaheterocyclic skeleton
O7. To increase the skills and abilities in research and management for me and members involved in project;
O8. Increasing the visibility of the team in the scientific community.
Elements of originality:
- Synthesis of new new penta- and hexacyclic azasteroids mimics with possible application in optoelectronic and pharmaceutical industry, due to their properties.
- Elaboration of new environmentally friendly methods of work, using ultrasound and microwave energy.
- Synthesis of azasteroids by cross-coupling reactions and multicomponent one-pot synthesis.
All these issues are measurable and could be easy monitoring (see on the next chapter).
