Approach

In order to reach our goals, we chose a reliable and modern approach, which combine typical conventional thermal heating (TH) organic chemistry reactions (such us: click chemistry, N-acylation, N- and O-alkylation, cycloadditions and quaternization of nitrogen heterocycle) with nonconventional methods, particularly the eco-friendly one using MW and/or US technology.

The antimicrobial biological assay will use Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method, the standardized broth microdilution assay procedure to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the compounds and for the ADMET determinations we will use the corresponding methods.

Estimated team work involved: director, 4 experienced researchers (2 for biological assay and 2 for chemistry part), 2 postdoctoral researchers (1 chemistry, 1 medicine), 3 Ph-D students chemistry, 1 master student biology.

Allocation and use of human resources will respect the following algorithm: experienced and postdoctoral researchers (director including) will have in charge conceptual problems, formulation and verification of hypothesis, elaboration and experimentation of  models/methods/theories, support activities, coordination and control activities and, experimental activities; young researchers (Ph-D’s and master) will have in charge the experimental activities of the project and will contribute to support activities.

2021. Stage I.  Synthesis, structural analysis and biological evaluation of newly hybrid azaheterocycles derivatives having in the same molecule an azine (pyridine or quinoline) and a di- or tri- azole heterocycles.
In this stage there will bring contributions to objectives O1, O2, O8-O12.

2022. Stage II. Synthesis, structural analysis and biological evaluation of newly hybrid azaheterocycles derivatives having in the same molecule a 1,2-diazine(pyridazine and phthalazine) and a di- or tri- azole heterocycles.
In this stage there will be bring it contributions to objectives  O3, O4, O8-O12.

2023. Stage III. Synthesis, structural analysis and biological evaluation of newly hybrid compounds with acetophenone skeleton, having in the same molecule a six member ring azaheterocycles (azine) and five member ring diazole, triazole, oxazole.
In this stage there will be bring it contributions to objectives  O5-O12.
