Professor Aurelia Vasile was part of the teaching staff at the Faculty of Chemistry, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University from Iasi for 36 years. She has very good expertise in synthesis, characterization and applications of nanoporous materials such as synthetic and natural zeolites, ordered mesoporous materials, synthesis of metal, oxides or calcogenide nanoparticles inside nanoporous matrix. Over the years she has published over 50 articles in ISI indexed scientific journal and 3 monographs in the research topic of materials development with special properties tuned for specific applications, 24 national patents on innovative procedures of synthesis and application of nanoporous zeolitic materials. More, she has tutored or co-tutored many students in obtaining their licentiate diploma, Master diploma or PhD degree. Professor Aurelia Vasile successful managed the post-doc research work performed by Dr. A.M. Tomoiaga within the POSDRU/89/1.5/S/63663 2007-2013 project on development of core-shell magnetic mesoporous nanoparticles for targeted delivery and controlled release of chemotherapeutics. Also, she has tutored another postdoc research realized by Dr. M. Ignat, on Innovative use of mesoporous carbon materials for photocatalytic activity enhancement of semiconductor oxides. Composites for waste water depolution.

Dr.chim. Alina Maria Tomoiagă – Project Manager (1.08.2014 – 12.10.2015)
Dr. Alina Tomoiagă has good expertize in the field of applied nanotechnologies, particularly towards the development of nanomaterials with special designed properties for specific applications in priority areas such as environment and biomedicine treatment. She developed a career in chemistry taking advantage of every opportunity to improve her knowledge and skills, specifically in applied nanotechnology and analytical chemistry. The papers published in prestigious international journals and participation in various national and international conferences are proof of the excellent results obtained in the length of doctoral and post-doctoral research carried out in Belgium and Romania. Currently, her area of expertise lies on the border between nanotechnology and biomedicine, her research activity being devoted to the development of new therapeutic nanoparticulate delivery systems targeted and controlled release of pharmaceutically active compounds. Also she is dedicated for easy transfer of results of research in the productive sector. Few of her representative published works are:
