  • Method and approach

    Estimated team work involved: director, 3 young researchers, 2 Ph-D students, 1 master student. Allocation and use of human resources will respect the following algorithm:

    – young researchers (director including) will have in charge conceptual problems, formulation and verification of hypothesis, elaboration and experimentation of models/methods/theories, support activities, coordination and control activities and, experimental activities of the project;

    – Ph-D’s and masters will have in charge the experimental activities of the project and will contribute to support activities.

    2011. Stage I. Synthesis and structural analysis of new N1-alkylated imidazole derivatives

    In this stage there will be bring it contributions to objectives O1, O10, O11.

  • 2012. Stage II. Synthesis and structural analysis of imidazolium salts and of pyrroloimidazole cycloadducts. Testing the properties, structural analysis and theoretical study of fluorescence for the synthesized compounds.

    In this stage there will be bring it contributions to objectives O2 – O4, O10, O11.

  • 2013. Stage III. Synthesis and structural analysis of new imidazolium hexafluorophosphates as potential ionic liquids, and of new bis-imidazole derivatives. Testing the properties and structural analysis for the synthesized compounds.

    In this stage there will be bring it contributions to objectives O5-O7, O10, O11.

  • 2014. Stage IV. Synthesis of N-Heterocyclic Carbene Complexes derived from imidazole. Testing the properties and structural analysis for the synthesized compounds.

    In this stage there will be bring it contributions to objectives O8 – O11.
