Education:

• 1984 – 1992: Primary and the secondary school in Sagna village, district of Neamt;
• 1993-1997: “Grup Scolar Materiale de Constructii” Highschool, Roman district of Neamt;
• 1997-2001: Faculty of Chemistry, at the “Al. I. Cuza” University, Iasi, Romania, being Bachelor in Chemistry (with the highest mark in my graduation series).
• 2001-2003: Aproach study (MASTER) at the “Al. I. Cuza” University, Iasi ”Chemistry and Biochemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds” (with highest grade – 10).
• December 2007 I defended at “Al. I. Cuza” University in Organic Chemistry, my Ph.D. thesis with title: “1,3 – Diazinium ylides and derivatives” lead by dr. Ionel Mangalagiu and I received the degree ‘very well’.

Career:

• October 2002 assisting professor at Organic Chemistry Department, „Al. I. Cuza” University, Iasi taught laboratory in organic chemistry such as: Basic organic chemistry. Hydrocarbons, Drug design, Organic Chemistry of simple functional groups, Organic Chemistry of mixed functional groups, Chemistry of heterocyclic compounds..
• March 2006 GC-MS training in the professor Ulrich Groth laboratory at Chemistry Department of University of Konstanz.
• October 2008 Lecturer, at Organic Chemistry Department, „Al. I. Cuza” University, Iasi taught “Heterocyclic Chemistry” course and laboratory in Organic Chemistry.
• February 2009 postdoctoral associate at University of Pennsylvania in the laboratories of prof. Dr. Virgil Percec (one year term).
• October 2012 Associate Professor, at Organic Chemistry Department, „Al. I. Cuza” University, Iasi taught “Heterocyclic Chemistry” and “Strategies in Organic Synthesis” courses and laboratory in Organic Chemistry..

The research activity is focused in the CHEMISTRY OF HETEROCYCLES – CHEMISTRY OF DIAZINES AND DIAZOLES particularly, conventional and unconventional (ultrasound assisted) synthesis, structure, stability, reactivity and properties (biological, electrically, so on). This area of activity present interest both because of the theoretical problems involved (stereochemistry and regiochemistry of cycloaddition reactions etc.) but either of the practical one. My work is of interests in „target” compounds with possible practical application as drugs (anti-AIDS, anti-cancer, anti-tuberculosis, antimicrobial, anti high blood pressure etc.), organic semiconductors, acido-basics indicators, insecticide and pesticide for agriculture; grow up factors for agriculture, ionic liquid etc.

In this research domain I published papers or presented on several national and international conferences as follow:

• 55 scientifically papers (44 in ISI journals);
• 797 citations of scientifically papers, h-index – 17 (According to Scopus);
• 148 international and national conferences;
• 3 books;
• 14 grants: 2 national and 1 international grant as director (with Romanian Ministry of Education) and 11 as associate (with Romanian Ministry of Education and with World Bank and Romanian Government).
